Mercedes lost her first tooth!!

On Sunday, 12 17 06, I heard Mercedes crying upstairs. Then I heard Sierra run into her room and then both of them came downstairs into our bedroom. As all of this was happening, I realized if she would have puked, she would not be getting up. She comes into the bedroom at 4:30am and said, "Mommy! My tooth fell out!" She said she woke up and it was just laying in her mouth. Poor thing was so scared. We told her that was great and to go back to bed and the toothfairy would come the next day. :0)

She was very excited then and knew everything would be ok. . .

Peace.

Mercedes baptized her room. . .

Since Mercedes moved into her new room, she is scared at night. Granted, she's all by herself now in a room and it's on a different floor than the rest of us. Poor thing. Yesterday after getting home from work/daycare, she said her tummy hurt and she had diarrhea. We thought it was anxiety and stress. She played with Sierra in her room and everything was fine. I gave her a puke bucket and she laid down and went to sleep. About 11pm I heard crying and then I heard Jon run from second floor to 3rd floor and I made it to 2nd just as he made it to Mercedes' room and he yelled, "BECKY, GET UP HERE NOW!" Yeah. What a lovely sight to behold. Mercedes had chunks hanging in her hair and it was all over her clothes and spread all over her face! She sprayed the wall and managed to get a little bit on every blanket she had on her bed. The majority was on herself and her sheets, but she did get it on the wall and on her BRAND NEW CARPET! GRRRRR. Poor thing. We didn't get mad, but my Lord, that was hard to see! Thank Heavens that Jon got the second floor laundry room done as now that's the second time that we have had both washers and both dryers going in the middle of the night. lol. No time for sleep at the Suedbeck household. I asked her where she wanted to sleep because I was nervous about letting her sleep in her own bed because I wouldn't be able to hear her from the library where we sleep. I didn't want to sleep downstairs with her (on the main floor) because there's no beds. So, we still had Sierra's old mattress on the floor in the big room on 2nd floor and I asked her if she wanted to sleep there and then she's right next to us. She said, "YES, MOMMY! YES, YES, YES!!!" No kidding, I just put a blanket on the mattress, then put her Dora sleeping bag on top of that and then her Dora pillow and she was out within 5 minutes. She was so overly tired. By the time she went to sleep, I suppose it was 11:30pm. By the time I went to sleep it was about 1:30am because Jon and I were still working on the house. I thought for sure that I'd be home with her today, but she woke up just fine! Ugh. So, here I am at work. . . :0) and working hard I might add! lol. I am glad that I was able to come to work today because I did get tons of stuff done and this is technically my break time anyway.

I told Mercedes not to tell Kim (daycare) that she had puked or Kim would get mad wondering why I brought her to daycare if she was sick in the night. Well, it's 4:06pm and she never called that Mercedes was sick. WOO HOOOO!

*Note: a few days after the 2nd laundry room was done, Lincoln puked several times that night. So that's when we had both washers/dryers going at the same time. Ugh. Good thing we have 2 of both! :0)

Peace.

The girls moved into their new rooms 12 09 06

We finally finished the girls' rooms and the carpet has been laid. The guy has to still lay the carpet going up the stairs and in their hallway, but at least they are able to sleep up there.

This week, Jon and Jeff have been working in our bedroom and the girls old room (Lincoln's new room) as the carpet guy is supposed to be there today laying the carpet in our room and Lincoln's new room. The house is a complete disaster and we are having the Suedbeck Christmas on Saturday! UGH! Jon and the guys had a bit of free time, so unfortunately, bad timing, but it has to be done, right?

Lincoln isn't in big boy underwear yet, but he's close. He has maybe 1 accident every few days, so I'm just not ready yet to put him in underwear.

I'll keep you posted with the news as each of us move into our new rooms! Jon and I are sleeping in the Library until our room is done. Man, it's just not the same as our bedroom. I sleep like crap!

Peace.

Lincoln is potty trained!!!

The week before Thanksgiving, Lincoln was really sick. He had diarrhea and was vomiting. I was out 3 days with him, then he was fine by the weekend. Well, Monday came and he started the diarrhea again, so I brought him to the doc. They wanted to run poop tests and they told me I'd have to put saran wrap in his diaper so I could catch the poop. Yeah, right. Long story short, Lincoln went diarrhea in his potty chair and he learned that he liked that so much better! So, no kidding, he's been trained ever since!! He still is in diapers for the just in case situations as I'm just not trusting him yet with underwear. Paula had given me some extra pull ups that she had left from Spencer and he was able to wear those for a few days and then one day he woke from his nap and he was broken out all over! He had huge welts all over his butt where the pull up gathered on the leg and by the waist. I felt horrible! I put Eucerin on it and it cleared up in a few days, but I felt so bad for him! I told him we had to keep diapers on and I'm thinking in a few weeks, he'll be ready for big boy undies. WOW! He was waaaay easier to train than the girls. The girls were both a few months over 3 before they were trained. Lincoln wakes up dry and is dry all day, too. He could be in underwear, but I just don't want to chance it yet. :D

Peace.
