Mercedes cracks me up. . .

I know I swear way too much in front of my kids, but for whatever reason my oldest, Sierra, had never repeated the "bad" words, but occasionally Mercedes, my middle child, sometimes would. We are on our way to school, daycare and to work and yesterday she had a good morning. The day before it took her FOREVER to get ready and she was screwing around and so she had to leave for daycare without breakfast. She learned her lesson as yesterday morning she was ready with her coat, boots, etc on and we had 20 minutes before we had to leave. She had even eaten already! I told her I was proud of her to learn from the morning before, etc. So, we are in the truck driving and talking about what a good morning it was. Then, without missing a beat, Mercedes said, "yep, no bitchin' today, mom!" lmao. I honestly started laughing and after I was done, I explained to her that I swear way too much in front of them and that "bitchin" was a bad word and she would get in huge trouble if she said that at school or daycare. So, I stressed the importance of knowing which are bad words that she shouldn't say. Honestly, she totally cracks me up.

Quick note about my youngest, Lincoln. He and Mercedes have the funniest personalities. They are just crazy, wild kids. They come up with the funniest things and are just fun. Sierra is definitely the oldest and that's quite evident. She has more of the mother personality and thinks she shouldn't be so goofy. Anyway, on Valentine's Day, I picked the kids up after work and Kim (daycare) said, "Becky, tell Lincoln Happy Valentine's Day". I didn't know where this was going and so I did and he got the grouchiest face and put his face down. For whatever reason, Lincoln does not like to hear "Happy Valentine's Day". We can say Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, Happy Easter, Happy anything else, but Valentine's Day. For good measure, I said it to him last night and he responded the same way. Isn't that weird? He got a ton of presents and treats on V-day so I have no clue why he's doing this. All I can say is, "yep, that's definitely my son!"

Peace.
